Today,
It was SO cold, okay, so not snow cold
( I live on the beach)
But the wind comes from the mountains,
Where there definately is snow,
So, it was cold., but no wind, no rain, sunshine cold.
I decided it was the perfect day for a glamourous bike ride,
Off i went in my Maxmara coat, tweed skirt beige jumper, stockings and hat :)
I got to the other end of the beach, about 3km,
and there is a river, so i stopped and had fish and chips with tartare sauce, and champagne :)
I have lived in this town since i was 5,
Before that i lived on a hobbie farm.
Its things like this that i will miss when i leave in 3 weeks,
Sure its a small town, narrow=minded doesn't begin to cover the general populations attitude/intel.
But its small size mean i can sit by the river, without the noise of cars,
and sip my champagne in peace.

Call me crazy,
But sometimes i feel like;
staying at home,
by myself,
sitting on my bed,
drinking fabulous cocktails,
for no reason at all.
But just because it is nice.
This is my "Me" time,
When I relax, and evaluate,
If everything happens to be turning pear shaped,
(which at the moment it is...)
I can cry.
Get happy.
And fix myself another drink.
Maybe watch a movie, one that I like of course (and have seen a hundred times.. Disneys Anastasia, Shakespeare in Love and Romeo and Juliet are frequented in these times, along with classics I don't know the names of)
This time keeps me sane.
And that is what matters,
Some would call me sad for drinking alone at home.
Go right on ahead.
;)

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident."
That exert is from Captain Corelli's Mandolin, I love reading books and discovering beautiful passages like this one. I especially love reading old books the language is so romantic and lyrical, something rare in modern novels.

To the Antique Shop in my towns main street,
Thank-you for the beautiful fur stole,
It is the perfect, dark, rich, chocolatey, soft fur that I have been searching for,
And the Gold filagree clasp/brooch is also beautiful.
And only $29 :)
I read a column today in my favourite Magazine, it was a thank-you note-a-day.
No negativity; which I am personally quite prone to.
Just a pure, simple, positive thank-you note.
Reading it made me realise how lucky we all are, and so I am following suit and will be writing my little non-directed thank-you notes on here on the odd occasion.
