Don't you just love; seeing a fashion image and wondering how the hell is the Designer ever going to sell anything?! There is no way that could ever translate into day wear!! THEN, seeing another image and the correlation between the two. Its nice to know, that no matter how outrageous, outlandish or impossible something looks, it can ALWAYS, always be interpreted and worn. I do.
FNO
I think for my next O/S adventure I shall reside in New York to imerse myself in fashion.
Events such as FashionsNightOut make me feel isolated from the world that I aspire to be in one day soon.
Up here in the mountains where last night a girl in a disgusting scrap of black sheened fabric which definately had high content of elastic or lycra said oh i just love dressing up, being fashionable and looking nice, she also had on nasty pleather shoes so wrongly balanced that she could barely stand in them for falling flat on her barely covered ass.

Welcome to Whistler...
Errrr, I know. Whistler,,, not exactly a Fashion Destination, which is how i gauge where to visit in the world,
Buttt ALAS, I have re-located for love, it may be the best (or perhaps worst?) decision of my life, postponing school for ANOTHER year, to travel and live life. etc etc
I of course packed, for summer, which it is now, and winter, which it will be in a few weeks time i hear, after a lengthy spell of non-stop rain it gets cold enough and VIOLA! snowww, so i of course packed up my prada snow coat- white, trimmed with fox fur. and my hunter wellingtons which i have since invested in sorel shearling liners for. The rest of my wardrobe consists of basics and mostly things to keep me warm i bought my favourite summer outfits,
big mistake.
As you see, there are rules in whistler,
well not so much rules, asss well yes we'll call them rules.
no one wears high heels, if you do you're obviously from out of town or trying to attrack attention, girls will not like you-you will get dirty looks and well guys will give you strange looks like...are you all there in the head looks...
this is a problem for me. i like heels, i tried to revolt, but even my friends told me, its a N-O.
there is no point carrying your chanel handbag, anyone who knows what it is, well, they're here, but they're the tourists who don't speak english or americans... need i say more. carry a crumpler backpack- RESPECT from all.
there is no such thing as fashion trend. what is fashion. people in summer know the brand of knee pad you're wearing downhilling and in winter, well, a chanel snowboard would be defaced. burton rosignol and rome are life. So for the last 7 weeks i have been schooled in mountain life, well canadian mt life, i'm sure if i went to the french alps with my aunt i'd fit right in, but here, if you dress in anything jeans you must be an out of towner.
so for now my handbags, liquid eyeliner and all things else i shall reserve for my later life have been shelved and will be replaced by technocolour snowpants and oh so un-chic snowboots.
Ciao
